Aline Smithson is a photographic artist based in Los Angeles, exhibiting in the U.S., Europe, and China with solo shows at the Griffin Museum of Photography, the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art, The Tagomago Gallery in Barcelona and Paris, and Wallspace Gallery in Santa Barbara,amongst others. Her work has been published internationally including PDN, The PDN Photo Annual, Communication Arts Photo Annual, Eyemazing, Soura, Visura, Fraction, Artworks, Lenswork Extended, Shots, Pozytyw, and Silvershotz magazines. She jurors and curates exhibitions online and in galleries across the U.S., was the Gallery Editor for Light Leaks Magazine and a contributing writer for Diffusion, Too Much Chocolate, Lucida, and F Stop Magazines, and has written book reviews for photo-eye. Aline is the founding editor and writer of Lenscratch, a blogzine that features contemporary photographers.
