Drags, Western Australia, 2008
Website - BenRobertsPhotography.com

Ben Roberts graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2002 with an MA (Hons) in Fine Art, and went on to study Photography at the Arts University College at Bournemouth. His work reflects an interest in the role economics and politics play in shaping the physical spaces that we inhabit and attempt to occupy — from intense developments on the edges of Spanish urban areas, to the interiors of the tents that were erected in St. Paul's Square at the start of the current occupation camp. In 2009 Ben was the recipient of the British Journal of Phoograhy's Project Assistance Award. He was named in Photo District News 30 New and Emerging Photographers To Watch in 2010, and in 2011 was a winner in Magenta Foundation's Flash Forward Competition. Ben has exhibited The Gathering Clouds at Third Floor Gallery in Cardiff in 2011 and his Occupied Spaces series will show in London later this year. He lives and works in London.
