Website - BrendanAustin.com

For the past 15 years, Brendan Austin has photographed numerous locations including a nuclear submarine base in Ukraine, a radio telescope in Latvia, the hidden tunnels under London and, more recently, the middle eastern deserts and mountains. His projects explore the idea of our relationship to the vastness of nature. Creating fictional landscapes by using various techniques, Austin attempts to question how we perceive both the reality of the image and how we experience the world around us. He has exhibited at various galleries and institutions including The Center of Photography, Stockholm, Focal Point Gallery, UK, The Photographers Gallery, Museum of Modern Art, The Netherlands and a solo show at Kleerup Gallery in Stockholm.
