Christina Seely is an artist and educator whose photo based work centers around the ever-changing tension between nature, culture + time. She has been a fellow at the MacDowell Colony, a participant on the Arctic Circle Program, and was an Artist in Residence at Headlands Center for the Arts. She received a BA from Carleton College, an MFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design, and teaches in the Photography, Interdisciplinary Studies and Graduate departments at California College of the Arts in the San Francisco Bay Area. Seely is also a principal member of, Civil Twilight, a design collective whose Lunar Resonant Streetlights won Metropolis Magazine’s, 2007 Next Generation Design Competition.
