Website - EricBessel.com

Eric Bessel was born in Manchester, Connecticut in 1981, and grew up in the northeastern United States. He graduated with a degree in Art Photography from Syracuse University, and pursued graduate studies at School of Visual Arts in New York. Bessel works largely in photography; composing his own ever expanding, and quietly perverse, museum of natural history. He has exhibited his photographs nationwide and his untitled grass/hair series was featured in the The Collector’s Guide to New Art Photography Vol. 2. In Spring 2011, Bessel's first artist monograph, Archive {2005-2010}, was released by Conveyor. He lives in Ithaca, New York.
