Matthew Gamber is a Boston-based artist with an MFA from School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Tufts University and a BFA from Bowling Green State University. Recent exhibitions include Basic Ingredients of a Complex World, Gallery Kayafas, Boston, 2013; Second Nature: Abstract Photography Then and Now, and the 2012 deCordova Biennial, both at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Lincoln, MA, and Flash Forward (2011), Magenta Foundation, Toronto; Sum of All Colors, Sasha Wolf Gallery, New York, 2011. Awards include: Traveling Fellowship, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, 2011; Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Fellowship Finalist, 2011; and Humble Art Foundation, New Photography Grant, 2011. Teaching appointments include Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, Boston College, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, College of the Holy Cross, Savannah College of Art & Design, and Massachusetts College of Art & Design.
