William Greiner, is a New Orleans native, now based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received a BFA from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Art Boston in 1982. His photographs can be found in over sixty permanent museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of American Art, the J. Paul Getty Museum and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Publications include A NEW LIFE: Stories and Photographs from the Suburban South (1997), The Reposed (1999), Visualizing the Blues (2001), The Story of the South: 1890-2003 (2003), and Baton Rouge Blues, (2006). FALLEN PARADISE (New Orleans 1995-2005), was published as a limited edition artist book in 2008. That series was exhibited at the New Orleans Museum of Art in 2010 and is scheduled for exhibition at the LSU Museum of Art in the Spring of 2013.
