Rob Hann was born in Salisbury, England and grew up on the family farm. His wanderlust led him to leave the farm for the bright lights of London and he's been on the move ever since, having lived and worked in New York, Milan, Paris and Austin, Texas. He kept himself busy with a great variety of jobs before turning to photography, shooting his first commission, a portrait of Lydia Lunch, in 1993. He then spent several years working for many leading magazines and has 7 photographs in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London. Rob has lived in New York City since 2003 and is currently photographing America and its inhabitants.
