Sarah Girner is a German-born artist who lived and studied in Ireland, Spain and Austria before settling in New York City, where she completed the Documentary Photography Program at the International Center of Photography in 2009. Her work predominantly explores the concept of home in all its facets. Sarah’s project The Transience of Things was featured in the Humble Arts Foundation’s The Collector’s Guide to New Art Photography, Vol. 2 , at ONWARD Compé and at the LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph in 2011. She is currently preparing to take part in the 2012-13 cycle of the Reflexions Masterclass, which will occasionally bring her back to her beloved Europe.
