Simon Biswas graduated from Skidmore College in 2006 and was the recipient of the John P. Heins Outstanding Thesis Award for his photographic work on the disappearance of small farms in America. His work has been exhibited at the Bennington Art Museum, The Francis Young Tang Teaching Museum & Gallery, The Schick Art Gallery, The MILK Gallery, Superfine Gallery, NYPH 2010, & Film Photo Synthesis. Biswas created The Light of Day specifically to be shown at LOOKBetween in Charlottesville, VA in 2010. In the fall of that year selections from the piece were published in Photo District News. He has worked for People Magazine, Spin.com, Harper Collins, Smith & Wesson, The Wall Street Journal, TimeOut NY, West Elm, among many others. Biswas currently lives in Brooklyn.
