Simon Crofts

Simon Crofts worked as a lawyer in Russia for seven years in the wild days of the 90's when the Soviet Union had just collapsed, and later moved to Poland for a further six years. His photography traces personal and family relationships in the Russia and Ukraine, and connections with Russo-Ukrainian literature, music and history. He studied law at Oxford University, and learned to speak fairly fluent Russian and bad Polish. His wife is Polish photographer Sylwia Kowalczyk.
