Vanessa Kramer joined Phillips de Pury in 2005. Since her arrival she has contributed to all photographic sales worldwide and specializes in global markets. She consistently helps to set auction records for international photographers and continues to maintain Phillips reputation to be at the cutting edge of the art market. Vanessa's extensive experience in international business-getting as well as her strategic vision has proven as key tools to continually achieve new success levels in the Photographs market. She was a featured guest lecturer at the Foam_Fusion Festival at the Foam_Fotografiemuseum in Amsterdam and she is a regular speaker on collecting photography. She received her Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Colgate University in Art History and a post-graduate degree in American Fine and Decorative Arts from the Sotheby's Institute of Art. Prior to her employment at Phillips de Pury & Company, she was a Museum Educator at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA and worked in Client Services at Sotheby's.
